User Specified Recycle Loops

This window is used to override the recycle loop sequence determined by PRO/II, and to specify acceleration methods and convergence tolerances for individual loops.

Note that this window is not available if you select the SIMSCI method for Calculation Sequencing since the loops are determined automatically by this method.

Usage

From the Main Window toolbar, push the image\RECYCBUT.gif button to display the Problem Recycle Convergence and Acceleration Options Window. From this window, push the User Specified Recycle Loops button to display this window.

If you choose to override the default loop values and provide your own sequence, acceleration, and tolerance data, check the User Specified Recycle loops box.

Select the desired Starting Unit and the Ending Unit for all the recycle loops in the flowsheet from the drop-down lists. Note that you need to specify the starting and ending units for all the loops in the flowsheet. Also, the recycle loops will be solved from top to bottom as entered in the table.

If you choose to change the Acceleration Method and convergence tolerance values for individual loops, push the appropriate Enter Data button to display the Individual Recycle Loop Data Window, where you can modify these values for the corresponding recycle loop.
