Pump Pressure Specification
The pump operating conditions are specified by selecting one of the Pressure Specification Choices and then entering its value. You may also change the pump efficiency value, which is 100% by default.
The Pressure Specification Choices are :
Outlet Pressure : Specify the desired outlet pressure from the pump.
Pressure Rise : Specify by how much the outlet pressure should increase over the inlet pressure.
Pressure Ratio : Specify the ratio of outlet pressure/inlet pressure.
Usage
Once you have made a pressure specification choice, enter its value in the corresponding data entry field.
Optionally, change the value of the Pump Efficiency, which is 100% by default.
Optionally, change the value of the Mechanical Efficiency, which is 100% by default.
Alternatively, the pressure and efficiency values may be referenced using the Define system relative to any available unit operation or stream parameter calculated elsewhere in the simulation. See Pump Parameters Available for Cross-Referencing for more details.
