Compressor Pressure and Pressure Ratio Curves
A pressure curve describes the outlet pressure developed at different actual inlet volumetric flow rates for the compressor. Similarly the pressure ratio curve gives the compression ratio obtained at different actual inlet volumetric flow rates.
Fan Laws cannot be applied for the pressure and pressure ratio curves.
Usage
From the Compressor Main Window...
1. Select either the pressure curve or pressure ratio curve and push the Enter Curve button. The corresponding Performance Curve Window will be displayed.
From the Pressure/Pressure Ratio Performance Curve Window...
2. Enter values for volumetric flow rate and the corresponding outlet pressure or compression ratio in the table. At least two pairs of values at different flow rates must be entered. These values cannot be referenced using the Define system.
3. Push the OK button to accept the entered values or the Cancel button to cancel the operation. The Compressor Main Window will be displayed.
Usage (Multiple RPM)
From the Compressor Main Window...
1. Select Multiple Compressor Outlet Pressure/Pressure Ratio Performance Curves to enter data at multiple RPMs push the Enter Curve button. The Multiple Head Performance Curve window will be displayed.
From Multiple Performance Curves Window…
2. Enter a value for RPM and click the Enter Curve button. The Multiple Pressure/Pressure Ratio Performance Curves Data window will be displayed.
From Multiple Pressure/Pressure Ratio Performance Curves Data Window…
3. Enter values for volumetric flowrate and the corresponding Outlet Pressure/Pressure Ratio performed by the compressor in the given table. At least two pairs of values at different flowrates must be entered. These values cannot be referenced using the Define system.
4. Surge and Stonewall Points are optional. The volumetric flowrate and the outlet pressure/ Pressure Ratio corresponding to the number entered here will be considered as these points
5. Click OK to accept the entered values or Cancel to cancel the operation. The Compressor Main Window will be displayed.
