Flowsheet Optimizer Print Options Window

This window allows you to select the desired level of final and intermediate print out detail.

Final Printout Options

You may select the final print out level from the following choices:

image\EDIT03.gif History: Prints a brief output plus a history of optimization values. This is the default for the printout level at final output time.

image\EDIT03.gif Brief: Prints a brief output only, and suppresses the printing of the history output.

Check the Include Convergence Plots checkbox to request a plot of the convergence diagnostics.

Intermediate Printout Options

By default, no intermediate printout is produced. If you would like print-out for intermediate Derivative Values or Variable Values, you may select for each from the following choices:

image\EDIT03.gif None: Do not print intermediate values (except for the objective function) in the history file. This is the default choice for both derivative and variable values.

image\EDIT03.gif Print after each cycle: Print a summary after every calculation cycle.

image\EDIT03.gif Print after the final cycle: Print a history of values at the end of the final cycle only. This is useful when the Flowsheet Optimizer is embedded in an external recycle of controller loop.

You may select the desired print level for both the derivatives and the optimization variables. However, PRO/II limits the options for the variable printout selection such that the level of printout is greater than or equal to the derivative printout option.
