Draw Area Operations
You can use the keyboard to execute a number of operations that can be performed in the draw area without using the menu commands or scrollbars. The following is a list of keyboard shortcuts available in the draw area:
To scroll the flowsheet diagram
Press Ctrl + appropriate arrow key. The flowsheet scrolls by an amount as specified for the small pan parameter in the Drawing Preferences command. This operation is equivalent to clicking the corresponding arrow button on the scroll bars.
To zoom the flowsheet, so that the entire flowsheet diagram is visible
Press Home. This operation is equivalent to the Zoom Full command.
To magnify the flowsheet, so that less of the flowsheet diagram is visible
Press Page Up. This operation is equivalent to the Zoom In command.
To reduce the flowsheet, so that more of the flowsheet diagram is visible
Press Page Down. This operation is equivalent to the Zoom Out command.
To close a view window
Press Ctrl + F4.
To move to the next view window
Press Ctrl + F6.
To delete a highlighted object
Press Delete. This operation is equivalent to the Delete command.
To lay down multiple icons of a unit operation
Press Shift and click the mouse multiple times in the draw area where you want to add the icons. Each mouse click produces one icon.
To continue adding additional drawing elements (text, line, rectangle, etc.)
Press Shift.
